Brave Party

This was a fun one....So much stuff to chose from. It felt as exciting as the Willy Wonka party to me! Here's what I did!!

The table was store bought stuff. The movie is so quotable, so I added quotes here and there.

The blue and green pom pom hung from the ceiling. Along with willow the wisps, and targets for arrows. The targets were made with brown card stock and I just painted on the targets. The willow the wisps were made by stuffing tissue into a square of blue cellophane, tying with a string and cutting strips in the bottom.

This is a "tapestry" I painted on a cross-stitching fabric. I just drew it on and painted it in. Above is the "fate be changed" quote from the movie. I also cut the tapestry between Merida and Elenor and sewed it back up. There are some willow the wisps up closer in this pic too. They were floating around everywhere.

For the front door I painted a pic with the "change your fate" quote from the movie and a shadow of Merida. Used the colors turquoise and purple with a gold ribbon hanger.

This was the best part that my daughter loved. I bought this cardboard stand up of Merida and Angus used for 10 bucks on ebay. Then I just use some roll out craft paper and drew a crafty carver and painted it. The willow the wisps are there to lead Merida to the witch.

Close up of the crafty corner with the witch looking out the window.

was my daughters second favorite part. The cave of Mordu. This is just a coffee table wrapped with brown rolled paper and the inside lined with black paper. Made the mordu sign on the computer. You can't see this in the picture but inside were two glowing eyes of Mordu. I did that by poking two battery operated tea lights through the black paper and taped it to the back. The kids loved it.

And of course since the movie talks about a little magic, we had to have a magic show. Good thing my husband is a magician...so that worked out!
